 This course will cover the needed knowledge and skills to handle the valuation process applied to appraisal assignments of disaster impacted properties. Topics covered include the various types of assignments and clients needing our services, how to conduct the site visit, how to identify market reaction, and costs and impact on marketability during potential restoration. 

The course was created by Diana T. Jacobs, who holds Certified General certifications from North Carolina and Texas, as well as Certified Residential certifications from Louisiana. She is also a certified USPAP instructor and aided in the development of the original 15 hour USPAP mandated course, as well as drafted the operating procedures for the first Education Council of the Appraisal Foundation. Ms. Jacobs is proud to have current UTCAP President, Ashley Wolthuis, a certified appraisal instructor, teach this class in Utah. 

All participants will receive a hard copy of the Appraising after Disasters manual written by Diana Jacobs. 

The UTCAP annual membership meeting will be held during a catered lunch break, which all attendees are encouraged to attend.
